Loading and unloading long goods
All loading and unloading operations must be fully automated. For loading
and unloading of long goods, special heavy-duty cranes are usually used.
Workers are not allowed to be in the back of vehicles and under the boom during
loading and unloading.
Lengthy goods should be securely fastened using special cables, bars,
strapping. It is important to prevent a possible displacement of the load
during its transportation.
When transporting goods of different lengths at the same time, longer loads
should be placed below the car body, while shorter loads should be placed on
top. The ends of the cargo, protruding overboard, should be wound with a red
bandage every meter.
All loading and unloading operations must be carried out by machinery
operated by experienced workers.
