Many drivers want to get a job in some kind of
transport company and work there as a truck driver. But not everyone succeeds.
They constantly buy newspapers with advertisements, go for interviews with the
position of a truck driver, but cannot get the cherished job. In this case, it
is important to prove to the employer (carrier) that you are an experienced
driver and can easily cope with all duties.
Primary requirements
To become a long-haul trucker, you must have the
categories “C”, “E” open. Some employers love when the applicant has all
categories open, but by and large, “C” and “E” are enough. Without this, you
should not even dream of working as a truck driver.
Also important is experience and experience. Here -
the more the better. But, at least, the experience of 3 years is necessary. It
is unlikely that someone will want to employ a driver with less experience.
Some beginners may be indignant, and where to get this
experience? Then think for yourself. You can first contact your friends and
work with some partner (perhaps even with a low salary). When you get the
proper experience, you can look for a job.
